when first playing with the camera that the focus,zoom and exposure are all manual and can be locked off with the little quick throw posts. it arrives with the posts locked off so initially you think its very stiff and not working. once loosened its very smooth and as its manual control best remembered its for a fixed/attended installation. once you set the zoom, focus and aperture you will see the image is very crisp and clear with a massive zoom level (10x)

There are three ‘dials’ on the lens assembly giving you zoom,aperture and focus. On widest angle you got it to focus on a subject right next to the lens giving a pretty good macro view of it. On zoom it does bring in further objects pretty well too.
