The leaves are often used whole and removed from the dish before serving. Our bay leaves are of the highest quality and are guaranteed fresh. With its roots deep in Greek mythology and the first Olympics, the bay leaf is a noble herb. The herbs are a widely used throughout the world, but is most commonly found in Nepalese, Indian, Greek, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. It is an ingredient in the Nepali & Indian spice mix garam masala and the French bouquet garni. In Thailand, where it is known as bai kra wan, Fresh Himalayas Bay is paired with Turmeric, Ginger, Cardamom, cashews and coconut milk to make Massaman curry.
